BLOOMFIELD, NJ — The mayor of Bloomfield has officially thrown his hat into the ring for a seat in the New Jersey Assembly. Earlier this week, Michael Venezia announced that he is running for the assembly in District 34. He will be sharing a slate with Assemblywoman Britnee Timberlake, who is seeking a senate seat, and Carmen T. Morales, a Belleville resident employed as a school principal in Newark.
